At the beginning of twentieth century the Indians were tormented with the British torture at the one hand and superstition on the other. At that crucial juncture Late Ijjat Ali desired to set up a Madrasah in Nawabpur area in order to uplift the backward people and promote Islamic views. Hazrat Pir Abubakar Siddique laid its foundation stone in 1919. In 1925 the British Govt. recognised it as a Junior Madrasah. Ploughed through a long gap of more than forty years the Govt. upgraded it up to class VIII in 1966 and recognised its 9th and 10th standard in 1982 & 1983 respectively. Thus it became a High Madrasah under the West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education. In the year 2008 West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education recognised it as a Higher Secondary Madrasah and it began its journey with only few students in Arts stream. At present students are studying in Arts and Science streams with lab based subjects like Geography, Physics, Chemistry, and Biological Sciences. More over Vocational courses i.e. JWKE, TAIL and TMSR under West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education & Training are running here. For the last two years we are imparting education by projector and computer. From the last year IT Enable Learning programme is also running under Vikramshila Education Research Society. Our teachers are also actively participating in this learning process. Over the years we are trying our best to implement each and every Govt. schemes successfully.
